History

JavaScript Cebu’s GitHub organization was created in December 2018, and the community launched in 2019, sprouting from Laravel Cebu and Vue.js Cebu. For years it was home to three sub-communities, Angular Cebu, React Cebu and Vue.js Cebu, which ran their own meetups and workshops under the JS Cebu banner. Today JS Cebu runs as one community for everyone building with JavaScript in Cebu, and it co-presents Hacktoberfest Cebu every October.
